Naturals And Cardinals Square Off In Springfield

Naturals And Cardinals Square Off In Springfield

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals will take to the road to take on the 23-28 Springfield Cardinals. The Naturals, who are 20-31, and last place in the Texas League will look to forget about their most recent series and pluck the Cardinals on the road. What will we discuss? We will look over the series’ history this season, how the Cardinals have played since the last series, and when and how to watch this series.

Series History In 2023

These two clubs have met this season as they have played six games against each other. Starting on May 16th, in Springdale, the Naturals would welcome the Cardinals for their series of the season. This would finish in a split and see the Naturals fall in the final two games.

In this series, we would see both clubs score runs at different times during their games. These teams would eclipse the ten-run total in four of the six games. This would include an 11-2 win, by the Naturals, in game one. This series would conclude in a 16-6, win, by Springfield, to close out the split.

Cardinals Games Since Series

Wichita Wind Surge

Since the above series, the Cardinals would face the Wichita Wind Surge and Amarillo Sod Poodles. The Cardinals would welcome the Wind Surge and take to the road to take on the Sod Poodles. We will take a look at these games and how the Cardinals have fared.

In the series with Wichita, Springfield would get an opening win, 8-2, on Tuesday night. This win would be followed by a lopsided, 13-1 loss in game two to the Surge. The Cardinals would take the lead in the series with back-to-back wins, 5-4 and 1-0, on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Surge would get their last win in the series, on Saturday, when they would win, 10-5, over the Cardinals yet Springfield would look to close it out on Sunday. On Sunday, the Cardinals would close out the series with a win. They would accomplish that with a 10-5 win. Springfield would win the series four games to two.

Amarillo SodPoodles

As mentioned above, the Cardinals would travel to Amarillo for a six-game series. This series would take a wild turn with back-to-back doubleheaders due to weather suspensions. Let’s take a look at this series.

In game one, the SodPoodles would get the win, 7-1, to start the series strong. After a suspension of the Tuesday matchup, we would see two games on Wednesday. In those games, Amarillo would win 13-8 and 3-2 to take a series hold, three games to one, over the Cardinals.

On Thursday there was more baseball in twos as the fans saw a second doubleheader. In these games, the Cardinals would win game one, 4-3, followed by a loss, 6-1, to complete the series loss to the Sop Poodles. The Cardinals would win, 6-5, in the final game to fall in the series four games to two.
