The Memphis Tigers are off to a great start this season, 2-0. In the season kick-off, the Tigers blew North Alabama out of the water, completely demolishing them in a gut wrenching game ending the game 40-0. In their second game against Troy, the Tigers defeated the Trojans 38-17. This defensive team has only allowed 2 touchdowns so far this season. It’s seeming as if the Tigers will be a force to be reckoned with this year, especially if they’re coming back with a chip on their shoulders.

The last time these two teams faced each other in 1990, the Seminoles took home a win, beating the Tigers 35-3. Looking into the Seminoles’ season so far, they aren’t looking too good, as they are 0-2, losing to Georgia Tech and Boston College. Seemingly, the Seminoles aren’t on a hot streak starting off as much as many spectators would’ve liked to believe. However, the intelligence of Mike Norvell shouldn’t be underestimated.

Many predict for the Tigers to fall short to Florida State by just a few points. However, this Tigers’ team looks to be ready for the challenge. Although Memphis has benched breakout star, Sutton Smith, due to an unfortunate season ending injury, the team has continued to band together to pull off incredible plays. There is no doubt that this season of Tigers will leave Florida State with a bang.
