Memphis Volleyball Adds Graduate To Squad

According to the following press release from the Memphis Communications Department

The University of Memphis Tigers women’s volleyball team brings in graduate transfer, Reilly Briggs for the 2023 season.

Briggs, a 5’11” right-side hitter out of LaPorte, IN is heading to Memphis after four years at Northern Kentucky. The two-time Horizon League All-League First Teamer has amassed 339 kills, with a .253 attacking percentage, 249 blocks, and 171 digs in her career with Northern Kentucky.
 
Coming from Northern Kentucky University, Reilly brings a wealth of experience having led her team previously to the NCAA Tournament and finishing in the top 10 in both Kills per Set and season Hitting Percentage last season,” said Head Coach Sean Burdette. “Her drive, competitiveness and leadership will make an immediate impact on the right side for us.” 
 

During the 2022 season, Briggs helped Northern Kentucky to an overall 18-13 record, going 15-3 in conference play and notching the second seed in the Horizon League Conference Tournament. Briggs led the Norse with 330 kills and recorded an attacking average of .278 with 94 blocks on the season.

Briggs also collected a 2021 Horizon League All-Tournament Team selection and a Horizon League All-Freshman Team selection in 2019.
